Personal Collection | Easter Sunday

On Easter Sunday this year, Dan and I attended a church service Ministered by Cousin Mary, as we call her. Mary is actually a cousin of Dan’s Mom. Since Mary is retiring soon, this would be the last Easter service she would be giving. So I wanted to make sure to capture some special images for her that day.

One of the things I have always enjoyed most about Mary’s Easter service is the special children’s time she incorporates at the beginning. Each year, she asks all the children to come to the front of the church and sit on the floor with her where she explains the sermon in terms they can understand.  It has always been such a special time to witness and this year was no exception. I want to wish Mary well on her journey, but I must admit that I will miss the tradition of attending her Easter Service.
Of course, I have to share the photos of Dan playing with the remote for my camera. Now you can see one of the many reasons I love this man. He can always put a smile on my face!
